Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Tissue Bioengineering

• Resumo Summary

  O candidato a bolsa de pós-doutorado para o desenvolvimento do Projeto Temático intitulado “Desenvolvimento de scaffolds cerâmicos para aplicação na engenharia tecidual” deve ter experiência nas áreas de interface entre as engenharias de materiais ou áreas correlatas.

  É desejado que o bolsista seja capaz de desenvolver as atividades como: (1) técnicas de produção e caracterização de matrizes poliméricas porosas à base de polímeros naturais e sintéticos, reologia de soluções poliméricas; (2) determinação da cinética de liberação de compostos naturais e sintéticos, experiência em métodos para quantificação de compostos naturais e/ou sintéticos relacionados à cinética de liberação; (3) técnicas de recobrimento de biomateriais com diferentes tipos de filmes finos (imersão, deep coating, aspersão, outras) (4) caracterização dos filmes formados; (5) conhecimento em modelagem utilizando softwares como Origin, Excel, Statistica, MATLAB, outros.

  Os candidatos devem ter título de doutor obtido há no máximo sete anos, no país ou no exterior, preferencialmente na área de materiais ou correlata.   The post-doctoral candidate for the development of the Thematic Project titled “Development of Ceramic Scaffolds for Application in Tissue Engineering” should have experience in the interface between all the different materials engineering areas or related fields.

  The desired skills for the fellowship candidate include: (1) production techniques for polymer matrices based on natural polymers and rheology of polymer solutions and production techniques for polymer matrices based on polymers; (2) determination of the release kinetics of natural and synthetic compounds, experience in methods for quantifying natural and/or synthetic compounds related to release kinetics; (3) techniques for coating scaffolds (immersion, deep coating, sprinkling, others) (4) characterization of scaffolds; (5) knowledge of modeling using software such as Origin, Excel, Statistica, MATLAB, others.

  Candidates must hold a doctoral degree obtained no more than seven years ago, either domestically or internationally, preferably in the field of materials science or related fields. The selected candidate will be based at the University of São Paulo's Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA-USP) in Pirassununga, Brazil.

The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
